The St. Joe Company is developing a healthcare campus on an 87-acre parcel near the intersection of State Highway 79 and Phillip Griffitts Sr. Parkway. Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare currently operates in the campus’ first medical office building, offering urgent and primary care, cardiology and pulmonary services and outpatient surgery with more to come. Additionally, Florida State University has plans to build a state-of-the-art acute care, teaching and research hospital, and three additional medical office buildings are planned for the campus, housing other healthcare related services.

Area Activities
A favorite destination for locals and tourists, the Panama City Beach Conservation Park offers opportunities for a variety of outdoor recreation. The City of Panama City Beach has established Conservation Park in cooperation with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for the enjoyment of hikers, cyclists and nature lovers. In addition to the functionality of the park, there are many trails on site from which you can observe native wildlife roaming freely. Encompassing over 2900 acres, the Conservation Park has 24 miles of trails and over a mile of boardwalks that lead through Cypress domes. The trails range anywhere from 0.6 miles up to 11 miles, with 12 different rails to choose from.

A new, public marina is planned for the west end of West Bay near Highway 79. Providing boaters with easy access to all of the local waterways, plans call for dry barn storage, in water slips and a restaurant and ship store. West Bay, Choctowhatchee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico will all be within reach from the newest Point South Marina.
