There’s a lot in a name. That’s why JOE continues to serve the community with unwavering commitment to quality, service and integrity. Access to quality education is an important component of all of JOE’s communities. We offer this information as a resource for SouthWood’s future residents.

SouthWood Education Village offers quality education for all students - Pre-K through college and into adulthood. Find out about Tallahassee schools now, including the Creative Child Learning Center, a Tallahassee learning center for the little ones.

For detailed information on SouthWood’s Education Village and Tallahassee area public and private schools, download our SouthWood Education Study Guide.

For infants through pre-kindergarten children, the Creative Child Learning Center in SouthWood’s Education Village offers a loving, educational environment, promoting “hands-on” learning and age-appropriate activities. Florida State University Developmental Research Charter School “Florida High” and John Paul II Catholic High School are the village’s schools for children kindergarten through 12th grade and 9th through 12th grade, respectively.

For adults, college-level courses are readily available at SouthWood’s Education Village. Offered by both Tallahassee Community College and Barry University, residents can earn college credits just minutes from home. Conveniently located nearby, Florida State University, Florida A&M University and Lively Technical Institute also offer a range of classes for adults.
