Neighborhood schools figure prominently in RiverTown's master plan. Three school sites are included in RiverTown's masterplan and will be donated to the St. Johns County School Board. Bartram Trail High School is already open at the eastern edge of RiverTown.

A K-8 school will be open as soon as the 2010-2011 school year. And all RiverTown schools will be part of the highly regarded St. Johns County school system, the fifth best performing of Florida's 67 counties for the 2005-2006 academic year.

Construction for two of the RiverTown schools will be funded through a unique and innovative arrangement between The St. Joe Company and the School Board.  The site of the existing Bartram Trail High School was previously part of the RiverTown property, and St. Joe provided the site for construction of the school.
