 But what inspires us? We take our lead from Mother Nature, whose extraordinary handiwork is on display across Northwest Florida from her sugar sand beaches and devilish swamps, to grassy savannas and watery woodlands. It is her work that guides us and provides a standard against which we measure ourselves.
What we do here as place makers will extend well beyond the lifespan of one person, one landowner or one company. We have an extraordinary opportunity but with it comes a great responsibility. We see it as public trust between us, the stewards of today, and the children of tomorrow. In the end, our choices and our efforts will be judged by those future generations. It is my sincere hope and firm belief, that they will be the beneficiaries of this legacy and decide that we chose wisely and did well.
