WindMark Beach Receives "Award Of Excellence" From The Florida Chapter Of The American Society Of Landscape Architects (Flasla)
PORT ST. JOE, FLORIDA (September 4, 2008) - The St. Joe Company's WindMark Beach has received an Award of Excellence in the Resort & Entertainment Category at the FLASLA 2008 Annual Design Awards. EDAW, JOE's landscape architects, accepted the award on behalf of WindMark Beach at a gala dinner in Jacksonville on August 2.
The FLASLA Design Awards Program encourages the advancement, expansion and recognition of the landscape architecture profession. It honors landscape architecture projects that blend environmental and artistic principles, emphasizing beauty, function, and the environment.
The FLASLA Award of Excellence acknowledges the successful result: an elegant and functional interpretation of "Old Florida" architecture coupled with the preservation a unique acreage representative of North Florida through deliberative planning.
