The community of WaterSound is only three miles from the white-sand beaches of WaterSound Beach on Highway 98 (just north of famed Scenic Highway 30-A). It sits on 1,400 acres, bordered by the Intracoastal Waterway to the north and Lake Powell, one of the world's rare dune lakes, to the east. WaterSound is planned to include approximately 1,000 single-family home sites, as well as retail, recreational and cultural venues, ideally located between the resort towns of Destin and Panama City Beach and not far from the new international airport, currently under construction.

The emerging community will celebrate its vast natural surroundings by keeping half the property as a natural conservation preserve while offering an array of recreational and outdoor activities such as walking, biking, jogging, fishing, swimming or just exploring. WaterSound home sites will be connected by an extensive pedestrian trail system. Many homes will be within walking distance of the centrally located Village Commons, a gathering spot for residents to enjoy a light lunch, grab a quick workout or check mail at the post office.

WaterSound's architectural design merges distinctive coastal shingle homes with Florida vernacular building styles. WaterSound's homes will include floor plans featuring large walk-in closets, first-floor master bedrooms and spacious family-friendly gathering areas.
