HIT THE ROAD AND FILL ‘ER UP FOR FREE: WATERCOLOR INN AND RESORT OFFERS UP TO $200 GAS REBATE

Santa Rosa Beach, FL (March 28, 2008) – To offset the soaring cost of fuel, the AAA Four Diamond WaterColor Inn and Resort on Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast is offering a gas rebate to guests staying a minimum of three consecutive nights before May 23, 2008. Whether travelers come from near or far, all who present a valid, dated gas receipt from their drive at check-in will have the total amount, up to $200, deducted from their bill at check-out.

According to a March 23, 2008 Lundberg Survey of 7,000 stations nationwide, the average price of self-serve regular gasoline soared seven cents over the last two weeks to a record high of $3.26 per gallon.

Despite the rising cost of gas, taking the scenic route to WaterColor has its benefits. Driving along scenic Highway 30-A in Northwest Florida, travelers discover some of the most beautiful land in all the Sunshine State. This small country road winds its way through long-leaf pine flatwoods, along snow-white sand beaches and sea oat-covered dunes, past freshwater coastal lakes and saltwater inlets, and along protected wetlands and marshes. It’s one of those roads that beckons you to drop the top of the convertible or roll down the windows and just drive.

At the heart of 30-A on the glittering Gulf of Mexico is WaterColor, a chic 499-acre resort and residential community featuring the intimate 60-room David Rockwell-designed Inn. With WaterColor as a base, take a spin through the surrounding small towns with picture perfect coastal cottages and stop by tantalizing seafood shacks serving up the catch of the day. Don't miss the centuries-old live oaks at Eden State Gardens in Pt. Washington State Park and the craggy scrub oaks in Old Grayton Beach.

At the resort, guests can stow their car keys and pick up a complimentary bicycle to navigate WaterColor’s many footpaths and woodland bike trails. Additional amenities include a tennis center, beach club, complimentary use of kayaks, canoes and fishing gear; a full service spa, dynamic Camp WaterColor kids program and gourmet dining at the AAA Four Diamond Fish Out of Water restaurant. Guests also enjoy privileged access to CampCreek, Shark’s Tooth and Origins golf courses.

WaterColor offers a choice in accommodations, with 60 Gulf- and dune-view rooms at the upscale Inn, as well as fully furnished one- to six-bedroom rental homes.

Until May 23, rates at WaterColor Inn start from $325 per night; residences start from $290 per night. Weekly rates are available. Consumers must reference the gas rebate promotion at the time of booking to be eligible for reimbursement. The offer is limited to one rebate per household.
