For the third year, the community of WaterSound will host a free public event on June 12 from 11 am-2 pm to celebrate the summer season in South Walton County.  Held at WaterSound’s central gathering spot, Village Commons, and The Origins Golf Course, Summer At The ‘Sound is a fun-filled outing for visiting and local families alike.  Folks of all ages will enjoy music, swimming in the beautifully designed Village Commons pool, playing in the nearby kids’ fort, a bounce house, face painting, balloon artists and guided kayak tours on Lake Powell. Grilled hamburgers and cold sandwiches will also be available for purchase.

Also taking place that day from 9 am- 11 am at the Origins Golf Course is a Two-Man's Best Friend Scramble Tournament. Enjoy playing golf with your dog and help raise money for the Alaqua Animal Rescue and New Beginnings Animal Shelter. Dogs are welcome to walk with players. Please, no retractable leashes or dog collars. Field is limited to 40 players and lunch is included. Play is $45 per person. Call the Pro Shop 850.641.0460, ext. 1 to register. Cash or check only. That same weekend, WaterSound is also host to the Soccer At The Surf Regional Soccer Tournament, being produced by US98 Soccer. Families from all over the southeast will travel to South Walton the weekend of June 11 – 13 to play in various age groups/divisions at the Wind Garden Park in WaterSound.
