April 18, 2009: FSU Coastal & Marine Laboratory hosts their annual open house. Fun-filled, family festivities include a whale skull exhibit, scavenger hunt and much more.
May 7–17, 2009: Artists will be painting on the beach, across the marsh, beside the lakes and throughout the streets of waterfront towns.
This private beach club, open seasonally, is a wonderful gathering spot for family and friends. The club includes a pool, men's and women's changing areas with lockers and showers, and an outside grill area. Restaurant dining is offered during the summer. The club is less than 500 yards from the beach and the Kayak Shack. The SummerCamp Beach Club restaurant is open during the summer, offering casual dining inside or out. The menu is family-friendly, offering such items as grilled fish sandwiches, hamburgers and chicken fingers. Camp FireFly Operated by the YMCA during the summer, Camp FireFly is a children's day camp program for SummerCamp Beach residents and club members.
