SouthWood Hosts 'Wheels at Work' Event for Families on Saturday, May 17

Featuring a Live Helicopter Landing, a Fire Truck and Ambulance Tours for Kids

Visitors Can Also Participate in SouthWood's Parade of Homes, Learn More About New Elementary School

Tallahassee, FL. (May 13, 2008) – The St. Joe Company's SouthWood community today announced that it will hold a "Wheels at Work" event for families on Saturday, May 17. This interactive event will allow families to see 16 different vehicles up close, including a fire truck, an ambulance and a front-end loader.

A highlight of the event will be the landing of the Life Net helicopter at 11 a.m. Participants will then be able to walk up and see the helicopter. A tour of the new elementary school, scheduled to open this fall, will begin following the helicopter landing.

"'Wheels at Work' will give kids the opportunity to see vehicles they don't often get the chance to see up close, and parents the chance to learn more about the new elementary school. The event is just another example of SouthWood's community spirit, which makes it an ideal place for families to live, work and play," said Bill Wier, vice president of SouthWood. "We are especially pleased to be working with the City of Tallahassee, the police and fire departments, and other local businesses to host this event."

The event will take place at SouthWood's Woodland Fields neighborhood, at the intersection of Four Oaks Boulevard and Orange Avenue, on Saturday, May 17, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors can also take part in a tour of SouthWood's Parade of Homes from 1 to 6 p.m.
