Designed by Greg Norman, Shark's
Tooth is the centerpiece of the
Wild Heron community. Named by Golfweek as one of "America's Best Residential Courses,"
Shark's Tooth sits on the shores of Lake Powell.
The course stretches 7,209 yards from the back tees and features
five fairways that border scenic Lake Powell, two holes that play toward the water,
and numerous wooden bridges that cross over streams and estuaries.
With majestic live oaks and loblolly pines and acres of preserved wetlands,
it is easy to see why Golf Digest voted Shark's Tooth the fifth best golf course in
Florida in 2005.
The club consists of an 18-hole golf course, a 10-acre practice facility, a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse with grill, bar, large dining room and locker rooms,
cart storage, a 1,200-square-foot golf pro shop, and a 7,500-square-foot turf care center.
The club also offers members and guests tennis, with four lighted Har-Tru hydro courts under a covered pavilion.
Shark's Tooth Golf Club is currently open only to members
and inn/resort guests of WaterColor and WaterSound, with additional limited access to JOE homeowners. Please coordinate with the concierge for tee times.
