Public Event Information

The general public is invited to RiverCamps on April 17 from 9 am-4 pm to a variety of different International Migratory Bird Day related stations. The stations will include educational and hands on activities. Lunch will be available for purchase on-site.

 

Stations will include:

Bird Identification Station. Learn how to identify different types of birds.

Bird Feeding Station. Learn how to make a bird feeder.

Bird House Station
. Discover examples of correctly built bird houses.

Habitats For Birds. Learn the ten best native plants for birds and their ideal habitats.

Threats to Birds. Learn about some of these species biggest threats and what you can do to help out.

What is your wing span? Learn the variety of wingspans different types of birds have.

Meet Paige the Bald Eagle. This is your chance to interact with a live bald eagle.

Bird Migrations. Neo-tropical migratory birds mirgrate at different speeds and at different heights. Learn more about these unique travelers.

Birding Opportunities in Northwest Florida. This is your chance to learn more about area birding resources.
