Since moving to SouthWood one year ago, Crabb has seen her commute go from a 30 minute cross-town journey to Astoria Park Elementary to a short, peaceful 4-minute commute to the Conley School @ SouthWood.  After making the move to SouthWood, she was soon hired to teach first grade at the Conley School @ SouthWood.  “Leaving Astoria Park was hard, but when the opportunity came to teach at Conley, it was too good to pass up because this gave me a chance to have more home time with my daughter.  The staff at Conley is wonderful and I love my job,” Mrs. Crabb says proudly. 

After trying out the legal field, Crabb realized her true calling was in the teaching profession where she could impact kids in a positive way.  Now entering her eighth year of teaching, she says her favorite thing about this line of work is, “Seeing a child say, ‘I get it,’ and watching the light bulb go off.”
